Delivery Information



4 PONDS has suspended trading and will be unable to process orders until further notice.

Card processing has been disabled and NO PAYMENT CAN OR WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR CARD

On all orders including those before 17th August 2008 Payment is NOT automatically taken when orders are placed. NO PAYMENT CAN BE TAKEN UNLESS GOODS ARE DISPATCHED.



It is a 4PONDS policy to offer you the best manufacturer's full product list* (with exception of liners, pipes and connectors) and to maintain very competitive prices, rather than, for our own benefit, limiting your choice to the most popular or profitable items.

In order to provide you with this selection we cannot maintain all items permanently in stock. Consequently we do not offer a next day delivery service as standard and are occasionally dependant on our manufacturers timescale for delivery. If your order is urgent please check availability before ordering.

Our most popular product lines are held as stock and we aim to have these to you within 3-5 working days.
Non-stock items do take a little longer but our large turnover and regular deliveries allow us to fulfil most orders within 10 working days.

If in the event that dispatch times exceed 7 working days, (after all we are only human and cannot promise we will never make a mistake or there will never be a delay in our supply from the manufacturer) we will offer you, as a matter of course, the chance to cancel the order or accept a generous discount on your next purchase.

We would rather be honest about delivery and lose your order than lead you into false expectations.

We hope you appreciate our philosophy and will place your order with us.


On hard to obtain items we keep all orders open until completed so please let us know if the goods are no longer needed.

Please note we have an environmentally friendly packaging policy and your goods may arrive in reused packaging

Delivery is by courier or royal mail DIRECT TO DOOR, during working hours. If you are unable to take delivery at these times please email to make a suitable arrangement. Where the householder is absent, our couriers may leave a card for further delivery or collection arrangements to be made.

Signing for goods.

Please ensure that you check your items are received in good condition before signing. Carriers do not accept liability for any damage not noted at the time of signing.

If you are unable to inspect the goods do not write unchecked, as this has no effect whatsoever.

If unsure or you suspect the goods are damaged clearly write DAMAGED along side your signature. Failure to do so invalidates our insurances and we may not be able to accept that the damage was caused in transit.

We can with your agreement arrange for goods to be left for you unsigned for in a secure place of your choosing. We advise against this as we can not accept any liability for loss or damage and do not issue refunds for goods left unattended.

Our standard carriage is £4.95 for three-day service. Next day delivery may be available subject to an additional charge.

International Orders

We do accept international orders (subject to export restrictions).

Out automatic postage charge is for UK orders only. We will be pleased to quote shipping costs and tax as requested. Large or heavy items may not be cost effective to send. The security requirements in the USA and Canada have resulted in high tariffs.

Unfortunately, due to the massive increase in fraud and the credit card issuer's inability to check non-UK issued cards, we cannot always accept payment by credit card for international transactions.

We have no problem accepting payment by BACS or Cheque. Payments must be cleared prior to shipping.

Africa
Due to the current high volume of fraudulent orders we are unable to accept any order from Africa unless verified as genuine by the appropriate High Commission.

Card Security
We do not take any payment until your whole or part order is ready for dispatch.

We use industry standard SSL to ensure your credit card and personal details are encrypted at all times, as they are transferred over the Internet.
As an additional security measure, detailed checks are made where the delivery address and cardholder address differ. You will be asked to verify the cardholder address and we may request alternative payment method if we cannot verify the card user's identity.
This may cause a slight delay in processing your order.

We reserve the right to refuse to accept payment by card
where we suspect fraud. It is our policy to forward suspicious transactions to the police.

Advice and Information
Making a water garden is often quite daunting.
We will be only too pleased to offer you practical expert advice, and information on water gardening and the use of any of our products.
We don’t just retail- we design and create great gardens!
